Twitter’s Vine is great for comedy
Mashable wrote a piece on Vine and comedy this week and highlighted how the Vine platform can work well for comics.
It’s quite possible to deliver a good joke in 6 seconds, and comics like Will Sasso’s vines have had a huge amount of success. Perhaps one of my favorite of his to date, is the montage of Arnie driving his car where a number of Vine clips have been stitched together to make a 90 second YouTube video.
Vine on its way to Android soon
Vine has revealed that an android version is coming to Google Play store soon…however there is no specific date penned in as yet.

Will the 6 second holiday postcard takes off?
With summer around the corner, it will be interesting to see if lots of the early Vine adopters use the app to share video postcards. This was hinted at in an article on the 23rd of April by USA Today.
There are limits with Vine being a great holiday postcard sharing device, and that is primarily the need to get a reliable internet connection! If you are travelling overseas you will likely want to turn off 3G to avoid high roaming costs, so a major obstacle will be without 3G you must find WiFi access to upload videos.
As many of us know, in certain parts of the world the Internet can be rather flaky, and even in more modern countries in hotel and holiday complexes it can be a real battle to get online for a few minutes. This may be the biggest obstacle to millions of people sharing holiday videos on Vine this summer.
